Terms of service
These terms cover your use of Prodigy Suite. By creating an account you agree to them. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.
1. What the service is
Prodigy Suite is software for managing classes, registrations, attendance, tuition and reporting. We provide the software. You run your business with it. We are not a party to the agreement between you and the families you teach.
2. Your account
- Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if an account is compromised.
- You are responsible for what your staff do under accounts you create.
- You must have the right to enter the family and student data you upload, and must give those people the notices your local law requires.
3. Payments to us
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe.
- The free trial ends after 14 days. Nothing is charged unless you choose a plan.
- Cancel any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. We do not pro-rate partial months, and we do not charge a cancellation fee.
- If a plan price changes, existing customers get at least 30 days' notice by email.
4. Payments from families
Tuition is charged through your own Stripe account and paid out to your bank on Stripe's schedule. We never take a percentage of tuition and never hold your funds. Stripe's fees and terms apply to those transactions. Chargebacks, refunds and disputes with families are between you, the family and Stripe.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Prodigy Suite to break the law, to store data you have no right to hold, to send unlawful messages, or to attack the service or other users. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why.
6. Your data
Your data stays yours. You can export families, students, enrollments, payments and attendance as CSV at any time, including after you cancel and before deletion. We use your data only to provide and improve the service, as described in the privacy policy.
7. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical. The service is provided "as is", without warranties beyond those the law requires and does not allow us to exclude.
8. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
9. The figures in the software
Tuition amounts, discounts, fees and tax shown in Prodigy Suite are the figures you entered and the rules you configured. They are not tax or legal advice. Check them against your own records before you charge a family.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service at any time. We may end it for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, with notice and a chance to fix it where the breach can be fixed. On termination you keep the right to export your data for 30 days.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to account owners at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
